Attraction The Hollóháza Porcelain Museum – where tradition and innovation meet
This enchanting location is justifiably proud of its hand-painted porcelain pieces and its fairytale-like design, which embody the elegant harmony and perfect balance of past and present. The museum building itself is also a notable attraction, as it was designed by architects Tamás Mondok and Ferenc Rákosi, both Ybl Prize laureates. Inside, a two-level exhibition space presents the history and artistic traditions of the Hollóháza Porcelain Manufactory through a chronologically arranged display.
In addition to the traditional exhibition, visitors are also welcomed by an interactive program: the “Visitor Creative Centre,” established in 2003, offers the opportunity to personally try the art of porcelain painting. Assistance is naturally provided, and the most skilled hand-painters share the secrets of their craft with you.
