Tokaj Must-See Attractions in Tokaj-Hegyalja - 3 DAYS
Day 1 - Sárospatak, Sátoraljaújhely
The Bridge of National Unity is truly one of a kind—not only in Hungary, but outstanding even on a global scale. It is located in the Zemplén Adventure Park, where it’s well worth spending an entire day for both children and adults. Chairlifts, a cable car, a climbing wall center, a bobsleigh track, extreme zip lines, playgrounds, an adventure course, a tourist hostel, a lookout tower, and a canopy walkway all await visitors.
Day 2 - Tokaj, Tarcal, Mád
A cornerstone of Tokaj’s cultural quarter, the World Heritage Wine Museum—housed in the former Serház building—offers visitors a closer connection to the history, culture, and wines of the world heritage wine regions.
One of the most beautiful synagogues in Hungary stands in the center of Mad, open to visitors in excellent condition. In the rabbi house, the former residence of the rabbi can also be viewed.
Start on foot from the heart of Tarcal and hike up to the Christ the Saviour statue, where a breathtaking view opens up over the Tokaj wine region. At the summit, it is not only the panorama that awaits, but also the powerful feeling of arrival itself. The route continues toward the turquoise waters of the Tarcal Quarry Lake, where the closeness of nature and deep silence provide a perfect ending to the experience.
Day 3 - Sárospatak, Hercegkút
The Megyer-hegy quarry lake was originally a millstone quarry, but today it has become one of the most popular attractions in the region, complete with a nearby lookout tower for visitors. This breathtakingly beautiful lake can be reached via the Malomkő educational trail, which leads you through the area’s unique natural and geological landscape.
