Alongside water tours, boat trips, historic towns, and museums, the atmosphere of the Tokaj wine region accompanies the journey throughout, offering discovery, relaxation, and an experience-driven exploration of the region’s many facets.

Day 1: Water adventure, playful discovery, and an evening in Tokaj

The day can begin in the unique water world of the Bodrogzug with a canoe birdwatching program, where calm waterways and rich wildlife reveal the region from a truly distinctive perspective. The slow pace and closeness to nature provide a relaxed yet experience-rich start to the three-day itinerary.

In the afternoon, the program may continue in Tokaj at the Abrakadabra Escape Room, where teamwork and logic-based challenges create a playful, interactive experience. This light and entertaining activity fits perfectly into the dynamic rhythm of the day.

The day can be concluded with a dinner cruise in Tokaj, offering views of the town from the Bodrog River at sunset. Riverside lights, the calm atmosphere, and shared dining together create a fitting and memorable ending to the first day.

Day 2: Bodrog river cruise, Rákóczi Castle, and Tokaj vineyard experiences

The second day can begin with a unique water journey: the Bodrogi Ringás sightseeing boat offers a slow, panoramic cruise from Tokaj to Sárospatak along the Bodrog River. The river bends, riverside settlements, and changing landscapes reveal the region from an entirely new perspective.

Upon arrival in Sárospatak, a visit to Rákóczi Castle provides an opportunity to explore the historical past. The castle courtyard, exhibitions, and atmosphere reflect one of the town’s most important cultural heritage sites.

The day can be concluded in Tokaj with a vineyard tour and wine tasting experience, where a walk among the vineyards and a tasting at Hímesudvar Winery together provide a complete insight into the world of the wine region.

Day 3: Museums, heritage, and an active finish in the Zemplén

The third day can begin in Bodrogkeresztúr at the Acetánia Vinegar Museum, where the world of wine vinegars is presented in an interactive way, complemented by tastings, showcasing a unique gastronomic tradition of the region.

The journey may then continue towards Sátoraljaújhely and Széphalom, where the Museum of the Hungarian Language offers a cultural and literary experience connected to the legacy of Ferenc Kazinczy. Nearby, the Ferenc Kazinczy Museum provides further insight into the region’s history and cultural background.

The three-day itinerary can be concluded with the active facilities of the Tokaj Adventure Park, offering a dynamic and experience-rich ending, where outdoor activities and the Bodrog riverside setting together provide a memorable final highlight of the route.
