This two-day itinerary combines a variety of experience-focused programs in the Tokaj and Zemplén region. From interactive exhibitions and active adventure activities to natural attractions, historical sites, and wine evenings, the route offers multiple stops for discovery. The aim of the program is to present the region’s more playful, active, and experience-rich side through a dynamic and diverse itinerary.
Day 1: Interactive experiences, adventure park, and Tokaj evenings
The program can ideally begin in Mezőzombor at the MiniaTour Interactive Model Railway Exhibition, where the detailed, fully operating miniature railway world offers a playful and visually impressive experience for all age groups. The exhibition presents the world of model railways in a unique, interactive way.
In the afternoon, the journey may continue in Tokaj at the Tokaj Adventure Park, which offers dynamic leisure activities, adventure courses, and outdoor experiences in the scenic Bodrog riverside setting.
The day can be concluded in Tokaj with a relaxed dining experience at Galuschka Bistro & Garden, providing a pleasant gastronomic stop and a calm wind-down after a day full of experiences.
Day 2: Tuff quarry lake, Rákóczi Castle, and wine cellar rows
The second day can begin in the Sárospatak area at the Megyer-hegyi Tengerszem, a unique natural attraction offering an impressive experience even with a short walk. The former millstone quarry, surrounded by dramatic rock walls, is now one of the region’s most distinctive sites.
This is followed by a visit to Rákóczi Castle in Sárospatak, offering an opportunity to explore the historical past. The castle building, courtyard, and exhibitions provide insight into the cultural heritage of the town and the wider region.
The day can be concluded with a visit to the atmospheric Hercegkút cellar rows, where the Götz Winery offers a wine tasting combined with dinner, providing a fitting and memorable end to the two-day itinerary.
